Hellooooo.....

Hello all,

My names Tim, 40 yrs old, live in Llandrindod, I have four mini's, one currently on the road.

On the road:

Mini City 1991 1330cc
MG Metro engine bored to 1330cc, SW5 Swiftune cam, Vernier timing gear and duplex chain, Standard MG metro head, Uprated clutch, Straight cut close ratio gearbox, 3.1 diff, 4 pot vented MG metro callipers, 12" revolution alloys, Hi-Lo's, Gaz adjustable shocks, Full bolt in cage, Sparco Rev bucket seats, Sparco 4 point harnesses, Not much interior trim, rusty floor and rusty other bits, it smells its noisy, uncomfortable but bloody good fun.

Off the road

2 Mk1 mini's, one 1962 one 1964 Both in need of major resto.

Mk1 cooper 1966, period modified, Tony Bloore 998cc engine, Straight cut 3 syncro box. Also in need of rest work.

Sounds like you have a really nice little collection of minis there and your 'on the road mini' sounds like it's a bit of a beast!

I have had a look through my photos and I realise I have no photos of the cars needing resto just pictures of how my current on the road mini looked 4 or so years ago after I original restored it....








Its a bit rustier again now. I have the engine out at the moment as I have just changed the diff and broken 2nd gear in the proces of undoinf the pinion nut so the gearbox is off being repaired at the moment. Hope to get it up and running for bank holiday weekend to have a blast somewhere (in the rain by the look of it)

If you get it up and running in time then you could go on a little blast out to Hereford for our meet this Bank Holiday Monday? Please don't mention rain!!

Or we'll probably be having a day at castle combe at the end of September for the Miniworld Action Day if you fancied that!

That was the Cooper Gary before I stuck it into a shed for storage. I'll have to try and get some photos when I get a spare bit of time....

Would be nice if I could get down to Hereford Monday Amy, Will depend if my gearbox gets returned soon then a manic rebuild and refit of everything...

I picked up some Kawasaki bike carbs in a conversation yesterday but cant seem to work out what they exactly are yet, have been fancying making some inlet manifolds to have a bit of a play giving them a go to swee what they'll do...

Yes gearbox arrived back and fitted, sorry couldn't make the meet today had a family day out with the wife and my two sons in Aberystwyth, 1st chance this summer somehow....

I Filled them into the bodywork and used expanding foam to support them behind....
