    Hello again! Empty Hello again!

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been on the forum for so long! Finally got tinternet at home after the move to Sutton Coldfield so I'm going to make up for my lack of posting by posting A LOT from now on Cool There are lots of minis in Sutton so I'm happy!

It was nice to see some of you at the Rolling Road day on Sat! I'm glad we all got through it in one piece and it was good fun if a bit chilly. On the way to pick up Ed and go back to Sutton today I drove round the Roman Rd roundabout and the tiny squeak from my wheel that you could hear on the rolling rd turned into a clunk and then into a rasping scraping vibrating wheel about to fall off noise. It was horrible and the whole car was shaking and rumbling. So I ended up limping into a layby on the A49 and getting Vinnie recovered on the back of a breakdown truck to Saffrons Cross.

My wheels are currently a sexy white S-reg Fiat Brava with Courtesy Car aka 'My Own Car Is Rubbish' all over it. Hopefully Vin will be fixed soon! I need to make use of his 61.5hp soon!! Rolling Eyes

Will see some of you at the bowling night soon afro

Thought i saw you yesturday, you were in the layby just down the hill from lyde.
Was'nt driving the van the time just my honda civic. I thought you had a wheel bearing go
before the last time you visited the rolling road. Perhaps vinnie don't like rolling roads. Laughing

yeh I don't think Vinnie is fond of rolling roads at all. I didn't spot you Nick sorry, did see a blue mini go past that honked at me just as the recovery were hoisting Vin onto the back. I'm just grateful it went in a 30 limit when I was only doing about 20 after the roundabout, rather than on the motorway home!! pale
Had a call from the garage today and as well as the wheel bearing I'm getting two new tyres and new brake pads. Excellent!

I had a rover 216 with the honda engine before I had the honda, could not fault it at all,
    so reliable.

I think I need to get me a Honda then. Drove back to pick Vinnie up last night and then got halfway back to Sutton Coldfield and the little git started making a new horrible noise from the wheels. So he's back at the garage again and I'm back driving Freddie flipping Fiat. Evil or Very Mad Anyone want to buy a mini??

    Ah ha!

Freddie Fiat's middle name isn't really Flipping, there's another much more appropriate word beginning with F.... Suspect

Greg, can you move to Sutton please?! I need a mini man here! There's lots of minis here, you'd like it afro

edit: matt are you kidding me, going in the MINI garage in Vinnie was one of the greatest moments of my life!!! Had to document it! Vin only just fitted on the BMW ramp! If it didn't cost £200 an hour I'd so have him serviced there for kicks. Best was as we rolled through those posh sliding gates where all the shiny new MINIS are and Kris's mini overheating and spewing steam out. Still wouldn't swap for a new one though Cool

Is it Freddie the friendly Fiat Wink

I think yours is only the third proper mini to go on that lift the other two were mine but we did have someone bring a mini in for a service but they spoke to the wrong person who basically told them where to go! shame really makes a change from binis, i think Greg did it in the end.

Ooops, hi Di! Sorry i missed this, I wondered if it might have been you! Don't worry about not stopping, there wasn't anything anyone could have done for Vinnie at that point except kick him as he was dragged onto the recovery truck (which i was tempted to do). I appreciated the beep you gave me anyway! Cheered me up a bit! Wink Vinnie is more or less ok now yeay.
Sorry no-one was around at Malvern to meet you, I wasn't there either. You will have to get to a meet soon, there's one next Thursday! We're all friendly I promise!
